Sealed bids will be received for a municipal collection, hauling, disposal of solid waste, recyclables, bulk waste, household hazardous waste, and electronic waste from residential units, including multi-family apartments, in the Borough of Trafford.  The Borough of Trafford estimates that there are approximately 2,000 individual dwelling units within the municipality.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that specification and proposal forms are available from 8:30a.m. to 4:40p.m. weekdays at the Borough of Trafford, 414 Brinton Avenue, Trafford PA 15085.

BIDS WIL BE RECEIVED at the Trafford Borough Office until 9:30 a.m, the prevailing time, on July 21st and will be opened at 10:30a.m. on the same date.

The Trafford Borough Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids received in whole or in part and waive any informalities.  The low bid may be discarded and the next low bid shall be deemed the lowest responsible bidder.  Each bid shall remain firm for a period of ninety (90) days.

All bids must be accompanied by a ten percent (10%) bid bond or certified check, as well as a Non-Collusion Affidavit.

All bids must be written in ink or typewritten, sealed, signed, identified, with the name and address of the bidder, and clearly marked in the lower left-hand corner of the envelope, “Bid for Garbage, Refuse, and Recycling Services.”
