The Zoning Hearing Board duties include but are not limited to:

• Hold public hearings as needed
• Hear and decide appeals from and review any requirement, decision, or determination made by the Planning Commission
• Issue special permits per the borough code, setting any conditions that it deems necessary or desirable for public interests
• Grant variances under special circumstances or conditions that would permit the applicant reasonable use of land or buildings as long as it will not be detrimental to the neighborhood or public welfare

The borough is seeking two volunteers to serve as Alternates for the Zoning Hearing Board.
