The Trafford Borough Police Department is now accepting applications for positions of full-time and part-time police officers. Applicant requirements: must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen, and PA Act 120 certified. The applicant must also have a high school diploma or a GED, be in good physical condition, meet all Civil Service requirements and possess a valid PA Driver’s License.

The full-time officer position has a starting base pay of $70,221/year up to $79,747.20 after 3 years of service, $8,000 Sign on Bonus; $4,000 will be given upon hire and $4,000 upon 3rd year anniversary date. Excellent benefits package including healthcare, pension, vacation/personal/sick/holiday time, uniform allowance, and life insurance after probationary period.

The part-time officer position has a starting base pay of $25/hour up to $28/hour after 3 years of service, with a minimum of sixty-four hours a month.
