Press Release
Trafford Borough Council President Kris Cardiff was informed Monday, September 13, 2021 by the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) that Trafford Borough has been awarded First Place recognition in the Special Recognition category in the PSAB Communications Contest.
The award focuses on Pennsylvania borough websites, newsletters, and social media communication. According to the website boroughs.org, the criteria for the award include Content Quality, Layout/Design/Visual Appeal, Writing, Use of Photos, Accuracy of Information, and Timeliness.
Cardiff informed Trafford Council and the Borough Manager of the news and attributed the award to teamwork and the efforts put forth in Cardiff’s goal for the borough to be as transparent as the state borough code allows.
Last year Trafford received an honorable mention from the PSAB for their borough website www.traffordborough.com.
“Together, we are all continuing to make great strides to improve our borough”, Cardiff stated, “and in my opinion, it is a benefit to our community to be recognized by the PSAB.”
The award ceremony is scheduled be held during the PSAB Fall Leadership Conference dinner Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Erie, PA. Cardiff stated that he plans to attend on Trafford’s behalf to accept the award.
