PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Council for the Borough of Trafford will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 20^th, 2024 in the Manchester Room located at 414 Brinton Avenue, Trafford,  PA  15085 to consider and take public input pursuant to the requirements of the Municipalities Planning Code & the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance Act regarding the following: 

• A proposed Ordinance of the Borough of Trafford amending Chapter 164 (Signs) and Chapter 202 (Zoning Ordinance) of the Codified Ordinances of the Borough of Trafford making comprehensive amendments and additions to the Trafford Sign Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance, including but not limited to the following: updating § 164-6 Sign Permits; updating § 202-4 Definitions; updating § 202-7 with various zoning map changes; updating § 202-10. Permitted Uses; and creating a new § 202.11 establishing a Trafford Central Business Overlay District 
• A proposed Ordinance of the Borough of Trafford, under the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance (LERTA) Act, establishing tax exemptions from property tax for certain deteriorated industrial, commercial, or other business property; defining eligible deteriorated areas; setting a maximum exemption amount and an exemption schedule; providing notice to taxpayers and a procedure for obtaining an exemption; and providing an effective date.

Pursuant to the requirements in the Borough Code, copies of the proposed Ordinances may be obtained at the Borough Office at the above address during regular business hours, Monday through Friday up until the date of enactment.
