Trafford Borough Bid Notice

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Trafford Borough is receiving sealed bids for the sale of all that right title and interest of Trafford Borough, to certain property commonly known as 412 Cavitt Avenue and known as Tax Map Reference 36-03-03-0-159. The property is rectangular parcel of land in an area of 6,600.00 square feet or 0.15 acres in a C-1 light commercial district and most recently used as a public parking lot. A minimum bid price of $30,000.00 A is required along with a 5% bid security, and an agreement to close within 60 days following bid acceptance. Sealed bids for said property shall be accepted at the administrative offices at the Borough Building through 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022. Bid openings and possible action on the bid, to occur at a Borough Council special meeting held in conjunction with the Borough general business meeting on October 4, 2022, 2016 in at 7:00 p.m. in the Borough Council Chambers located at 414 Brinton Avenue, Trafford, PA 15085. The real estate is being offered for sale in an AS IS/ WHERE IS condition, with no warranties of any kind, subject to any recorded and/or unrecorded easements and/or rights of way. Buyer shall be responsible for all closing costs in addition to the bid price, including, but not limited to all real estate transfer taxes. Bids must be accompanied by cash, certified good faith check, bank check, cashier’s check or treasurer’s check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, drawn to the order of the Borough of Trafford.

NOTE: A bidder’s personal check or non-certified corporate check is not acceptable as a form of bid security.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Trafford Borough Workshop/Discussion Meeting scheduled for September 20, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at the Manchester Room, Trafford Borough Building, 414 Brinton Avenue, Trafford, Pennsylvania, 15085 shall be a special voting meeting for any matter that may come before council at that time, and including the consideration and possible enactment of two ordinances, the following of which are summaries:

AN ORDINANCE OF TRAFFORD BOROUGH, ELECTING TO AMEND ITS NON-UNIFORM PENSION PLAN ADMINISTERED BY THE PENNSYLVANIA MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM PURSUANT TO ARTICLE IV OF THE PENNSYLVANIA MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT LAW; AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY ALL PROVISIONS OF THE PENNSYLVANIA MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT LAW AS AMENDED AND AS APPLICABLE TO MEMBER MUNICIPALITIES.
