Press Release
After over a year of collecting data from other communities and listening to the valuable input of the community, elected council members and administration staff, Council President Kris Cardiff announced Monday, January 6, 2020, the new borough council committee structure.
“The new committee structure will be more community outreach focused while still maintaining the appropriate borough government oversight that we were elected to do”, Cardiff said. “It will be more geared towards working together as a team with the community.”
Cardiff stated that “the old committee structure had been put in place many years ago when the borough did not have a manager and the elected council members directly managed the day to day operations of the borough.”
“As we start a new decade, it’s time to refocus and work together as a community to continue to attract new home owners and businesses, support our current residents, businesses, and organizations, and create new ideas for success,” Cardiff said.
