The mission of the Trafford Fire Company #1 to provide the highest quality emergency services in a safe, and professional manner thereby minimizing loss of life, property, and financial resources for the Borough of Trafford and those who live, visit, or pass through its borders.
The Trafford Fire Department 5-year Goal Plan
The 5 Year Strategic Plan of the Trafford Fire Company #1 will be to fufill our mission through the completion of objectives in 5 key goal areas. The ultimate result in the successful completion of these goals will be evident through the lowering of the TFC #1 ISO rating, an increase in yearly funding available for use by the TFC#1, and an increase in the number and overall morale of the membership.
Goal #1 – Enhance the efficiency of Firefighting Operations through the development of pre-plans, coordination of mutual aid, establishment and compliance of a full set of Standard Operating Guidelines, upgrading available water supply capabilities, and demonstrating improvement of company command and communications procedures.
Goal #2 – Improve Administrative Operations by establishing financial stability, developing and enforcing administrative rules, and across the board implementation and compliance of documentation and data control procedures.
Goal #3 – Create and implement new company policies and guidelines in the area of Personnel Administration and demonstrate compliance of the same through documentation. (Personnal Administration shall include Health & Safety, Training, Recruiting, Evaluation, and Personnel Policies.)
Goal #4 – Identify, obtain, and utilize fire company Resources which improve firefighter safety and effectiveness, improve the company ISO rating, and allow the company to maintain long term stability.
Goal #5 – Broaden Community Awareness through implementation of community public safety and fire prevention programs.
